Southern Style Smothered Chicken Hot Links with White Cheddar

Barbecue sauce and cole slaw add some Southern flair to Organic Chicken Hot Links with White Cheddar. This meal comes together in half an hour, but for even quicker preparation, try this with your favorite store bought cole slaw.

Silva Organic Chicken Hot Links with 

 White Cheddar
Mayonnaise
Brown Sugar
Onion, Finely Chopped
Buttermilk
Sweet Relish
Whole Grain Mustard
Cabbage, Shredded
Carrot, Shredded
Vegetable Oil
Sweet BBQ Sauce

Hot Dog Buns
 * Salt & Pepper to Taste

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Directions

In a small mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, brown sugar, onion, buttermilk, sweet relish, and mustard. Whisk until thoroughly combined.

Add cabbage and carrot and mix until well coated. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

Heat vegetable oil in a medium sauté pan over medium heat. Cook until well browned on all sides and hot through the middle, about 8 minutes.

​

Add the barbecue sauce to the sauté pan and coat the hot links. Cook until the barbecue sauce is hot.

​

Place one barbecue sauce coated hot link into each bun. Add a quarter of the cole slaw on top of each hot link.

 

Serve immediately.
