- ½ to 1 pound Silva Old Fashion Hot Dogs, cut into ½” pieces
- 2 (16 oz) cans pork and beans
- ½ cup catsup
- ½ cup water
- 1 Tbs prepared mustard
- ¾ cup all purpose flour
- 1 Tbs sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup cornmeal
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2/3 cup milk
- ¼ cup cooking oil
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion



1. Combine hot dogs, beans, catsup, water and mustard in a 12” x 8” baking dish.

2. Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl.

3. Add egg, milk, oil and onion all at once to sifted dry ingredients; stir just enough to combine.

4. Spoon mixture over beans.

5. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
